Rectangular manways/Hatch are commonly found on mash tuns and allow for easy grain removal. While they are effective in preventing liquid spills, they are not suitable for retaining large amounts of water, like those found in brite beer tanks. If you require a manway for high volumes of liquid, we suggest using a pressure manway, such as the shadowless manway specifically designed for brite tanks.
